STAYING SAFE ONLINE
1. Install anti-virus software
2. On at least a weekly basis update anti-virus and spyware products
3. Install a personal firewall and/or ensure your operating system's firewall is on
4. Use Windows and Apple updates to patch security holes
5. Do not open e-mail messages that look suspicious
6. Do not click on e-mail attachments you were not expecting
7. Take time to educate yourself and family about the risks
8. Monitor your computer and stay alert to threats
